What data this site handles, and what it does not.
The short answer
This site sets no tracking cookies, uses no external analytics service, and stores no IP addresses. That is why it does not ask you for consent in a pop-up.
Visit counting
We count how many page views and how many browser sessions occurred on a given day, and how many people set off towards dōTERRA from a link here. These are daily totals. No IP address, no unique identifier and no cookie is attached to them, so it is not possible to work out afterwards who a particular visit came from.
To tell whether a visit is a new browser session, we use the browser’s own storage, which lives only until the tab is closed. It is not a cookie, it does not stay on your device, and nothing is sent to the server from it beyond “new session” or “continuing”.
Videos
Embedded videos load from YouTube’s no-cookie server, and only when you scroll to them. Once you start a video, YouTube’s own data handling applies.
Comments and email
If you leave a comment or send an email, the details you provide are used only to reply to you, and are not passed to third parties. You can ask for them to be deleted at any time at [email protected].
Hosting
The site’s hosting provider may keep logs necessary for running the server. A content delivery network sits in front of the site and may likewise process technical data in order to secure the connection and filter attacks.
